A Place To Bury Strangers Premiere “We’ve Come So Far”

Stream a cut from the NYC noise rock trio’s new LP.

January 13, 2015

On February 17th, rock trio A Place To Bury Strangers will release Transfixiation, their new full-length for Dead Oceans. "We've Come So Far," the second single from the album, is a loud-as-hell ode to the long-running band's progression since first forming in the early-2000s. According to guitarist Oliver Ackerman, the track's gnashing momentum is meant to mimic, well, life. "Life is super intense and fucked up," he told FADER in an email. "So even accomplishing anything is a huge feat. Sometimes I just want to shake people for feeling useless; there is so much potential and amazing things going on all around. Help make something great for us all to enjoy." Late last year, Ackerman shared some nice words about Brooklyn's sadly defunct Death By Audio for our roundup of recently-shuttered NYC venues (he founded the effects pedal company that shared the space)—read that list here.
