Teen Saves Lil B From House Fire, Earns Task Force Purple Heart

Bow down to Mateo Ysmael.

January 16, 2015

A 15-year-old hero has saved Lil B's life after the teen's family's apartment building where Based God lives caught on fire. The incident happened early in the morning on Thursday when an electrical fire spread throughout the two-story duplex, as Contra Costa Times reports. Lil B along with six others were rescued by the brave Mateo Ysmael who ran through the building waking everyone up. "I'm grateful to be alive," Lil B told the local paper. "If that kid didn't come knocking on my door..." Luckily the fire didn't claim all of Lil B's belongings, though it did destroy "many of his costumes and some of his music." As Lil B said, "It could've been so much worse than it was." He's since tweeted about the incident and included an email address fans can send donations to via PayPal:
