Converse Releasing Limited Edition Andy Warhol Chuck ‘70

Meat, Sin, and Converse.

January 29, 2015

Converse is only releasing 200 pairs of the Andy Warhol All Star Chuck '70, a near-replica of Andy Warhol's first collaboration with Converse in 1984. Those shoes are now in the permanent collection at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, but Converse is reviving their spirit in this new limited run. The off-white high tops have an imperfect look: the paint from an orange "MEAT" stencil spills over onto the sole, the black outline of "SIN" runs off the edges. Damion Silver, Converse All Star Design Director says, "We're excited to...bring to life Warhol's original work done on the iconic Chuck Taylor. We're celebrating creativity, self-expression, and of course, paying homage to the vibrant legacy of Andy Warhol." Cop them this Saturday, January 31st.
