Kwabs’ “Perfect Ruin” Video Is A Perfect Chilly Nighttime Walk

Watch the London vocalist’s nocturnal new video.

London-born singer Kwabena Sarkodee Adjepong—Kwabs for short—once recorded a cover of James Blake's "The Wilhelm Scream," which goes a long way towards explaining his artistic M.O. Similar to Blake and his contemporaries (fellow Londoner Kwes. comes to mind), Kwabs is exploring a slightly more electrified version of minimal R&B; his latest tune, "Perfect Ruin," is fairly bare-bones and showcases his deeply felt vocals atop a steady pulse and fragments of beautiful piano. The song sounds like a perfect soundtrack for a long, snowy nighttime walk—and, wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what the video focuses on, as Kwabs traipses his way through chilly landscapes from dusk until dawn.

Kwabs' debut LP, Love + War, will be out this May.
