OG Maco Jumps On “Run Ricky Run”

“People will continue to imitate and I will continue to innovate,” the QC rapper says.

OG Maco made a big splash with "U Guessed It," the blustery-as-all-hell hit single that swept Vine last year, and the Quality Control rapper has hardly slowed down since. Earlier this week, he dropped a shadowy EP called 15 (as in the number of minutes he was expected to be famous for; I'm a couple of seconds up, he says) that he says will be the last full release before his debut album—but by no means is he going silent, as today Maco is premiering a fervid "Run Ricky Run" freestyle. Manolo Rose's original is thought to have been influenced by his "FuxkEmx3," and he says he jumped on the Fame School Slim beat "because it seemed like what the fans wanted." "I feel like my influence is being shown over music in general, it must mean I'm doing something right," he tells us. "People will continue to imitate and I will continue to innovate."
