The prime-time singer/rapper/actor digs up a golden oldie.

Last we heard from Kid Cudi, he was collaborating with Hit-Boy and recalling his early rap style. While fans anxiously anticipate his new album Man On The Moon 3, the prime-time singer/rapper/actor has done us all a favor by digging up an old track titled "love." Cudi worked on the track in San Francisco with producer Dot Da Genius during last year's Satellite Flight: The Journey To Mother Moon sessions. The song has a heartwarming melody that borrows Ratatat's soothing tones from their 2010 song "Sunblocks" paired with Cudi's soft dreaming vocals. It's a feel-good song that Cudi breathes his soul into it, singing, hopeful is all I know. And after listening to this, hopeful is truly all I feel. While we wait for Man On The Moon 3, find out more about the making of Cudi's first album in FADER's interview with producer Emile Haynie.
