Friend Within And Camden Cox Have “The Talk” On New Single

Been quite a bit of chatter around Liverpool producer Friend Within, ever since he dropped the absolutely massive tune "The Renegade" on Disclosure's Method imprint back in 2013. (You might remember the three artists teamed up last year for "The Mechanism," too.) He's got a two-tracker, "The Square" b/w " The Talk," out March 15 on He Loves You, and the B-side is a very smooth downtempo tune featuring vocalist Camden Cox. "'The Talk' is more smooth and sultry than a typical track of mine, but still feels weighty in the right places," Friend Within told FADER in an email. "The backing track to is the result of a session I did with the hugely talented Pete Josef who sang on a previous track of mine called 'The Work'. Pete is an amazing keyboard player and we recorded this in his studio near Bristol. I took it away and did my thing to it and got Camden Cox on board who wrote and sang some perfect lyrics."
