Norwegian producer André Bratten shares a studio with the likes of Lindstrøm, Todd Terje, and Prins Thomas—so it's no wonder that his own electronic music carries similar trippy, endless-sounding qualities with those space-disco luminaries. His new EP, Math Ilium Ion, sees release on June 2 via Smalltown Supersound, and this cut from that release is a perfect introduction to his sound, a winding slice of electronic psychedelia cut with just enough big-room flavor. "After some time glued in front of the computer, working with details and automation, I really wanted to just record something straight from the mixer, as live as possible," Bratten told FADER in an email. "[The song] is exactly that, just 'on the go' playing with some machines."
