Highly Suspect Premiere Heavy Rocking Hi-Haters Anthem “23”

“I’m willing to bet a lot of people can relate,” they say.

April 27, 2015

Hard driving Brooklyn-based rock crew Highly Suspect plan on making a splash with the release of their new album Mister Asylum this summer (via 300 Entertainment), and as this latest album cut makes clear, they have no plans to return to their quaint Cape Cod days once they have. Born out of the struggle to get out and make it, "23" is straight up hi-haters rock and roll anthem, replete with crashing cymbals and angular guitar. "This song is a giant 'fuck you' to anyone and everyone that said I couldn't do it," the group tells FADER over email. "I'm willing to bet a lot of people can relate, but even more importantly I hope it inspires those who feel stuck and haven't made the leap yet. You CAN do it!!!"
