The Best Reggae Song Of 2013 Is Finally Becoming A Thing

Atlantic Records officially re-released Kranium’s “Nobody Has To Know” with a new verse from Ty Dolla $ign

May 12, 2015

At the end of 2014, Atlantic Records announced that it was signing the Jamaican-born, Queens-based dancehall singer Kranium to a multiple-album deal. At the time, Atlantic's CEO Craig Kallman told Billboard, "I am really excited to be back in the reggae business working with a brand new young artist." Today the label finally released new Kranium material (sort of): a version of the singer's breakout track, "Nobody Has To Know," with an added verse from Ty Dolla $ign. "Nobody Has To Know" originally appeared—sweet, bubbly, and effortless—in 2013. For a while, a mash-up of Kranium and Chris Brown's "Show Me" was getting steady radio play in New York City.

Atlantic hopes to release a Kranium full-length later this year, which is good news for reggae/dancehall fans.
