This Illustrator Transformed Kanye’s “Bound 2” Video Into A Heartwarming Children’s Book

“The only audience that Kanye isn’t reaching right now is toddlers, and they are missing out.”

Zak Tebbal, an enterprising graphing designer/illustrator, has transformed Kanye's famous "Bound 2" music video into an illustrated children's book titled Bound 2Gether.

In the slim volume, Kanye and his "chick" Kim have a temporary falling out before finding their way back to each other.

Tebbal tells FADER, "I made Bound 2Gether as part of my senior design thesis at SVA [School of Visual Arts] this year. The prompt was to take an important piece of art and translate it into another medium."

Tebbal adds, "The translation of 'Bound 2' into a children's book felt appropriate because the only audience that Kanye isn't reaching right now is toddlers, and they are missing out on some of the important life lessons that Kanye has to offer. As a big Kanye fan, I felt the need to fill this void."

This opens up a whole world of possibilities, where other Kanye favorites like "Runaway" or "Flashing Lights" get children's books of their own. "I've definitely thought about how I can push this Kanye-for-kids idea further," Tebbal says. "I started a project called Baby Yeezus, which is a baby version of the Yeezus album." You can hear a sample of that below.
