Eliot Sumner Premieres “Dead Arms & Dead Legs”

The dusty-voiced singer debuts a stormy single.

May 18, 2015

After releasing an album using the alias I Blame Coco, Sting's twentysomething daughter and Lykke Li tourmate Eliot Sumner started releasing music under her own name last year. She says that newest single "Dead Arms & Dead Legs" was penned during an "adjustment period," which explains the music's uneasy quality. It's a pretty huge pop song, with Sumner's androgynous alto sounding dusty and world-weary over a cloudy melody, anxious percussion, and—by song's end—a seasick swell of feedback. The single, premiering below, is out May 19th in the U.K. and May 25th in the states via Cherrytree/Interscope.
