"Ronge Raver" is the first track to come out of an ongoing collaboration between Lexington producer Ellie Herring (pictured above) and LA producer Ana Sia. Streaming below, the tough, rubbery bass tune is one of the most exciting singles to feature on a new electronic compilation called Unspeakable Volume 2, from all-female release label Unspeakable Records.

"The super casual plan was to attempt to merge our two sounds into a final track that we’d actually want to play out," Herring told The FADER over email. "Ana creates and plays butt-moving bass music, and I lean a little harder on melody, but have started to dabble elsewhere. We met a few years ago at a local Lexington show when I opened for Ana and unknowingly played a bunch of music all her friends had made. More recently, we did a little mini run of dates in the south-east US together… and now we’re collaborating on this project and occasionally driving through desert oases."
