If the sparkly heart emoji was turned into a song, it would definitely be Samuel's soulful new single, "These Days." It's the first we've heard from the Ireland-born, London-based singer/songwriter since his 2013 debut EP, Falling Star. Produced by fellow Londoner and all-round musical genius Kwes, the hypnotic drum beats and trickling chimes channel tropical vibes while Samuel croons about a slow-burning urban romance.
"The song’s just about loving somebody and wishing them to be happy," Samuel told The FADER over email. "Hoping that I can be a part of what makes them happy. Asking if I am. Being in love. Feeling vulnerable." Big Dada will release "These Days" on July 31st (pre-order it here). If you're in London, catch Samuel at The Windmill in Brixton on August 13th.
