Following the release of a trio of solid EPs, Essex MC Nick Brewer is now gearing up for the release of his debut album. The first single off that project, "Talk To Me," builds on something old—a sample of Crystal Water's legendary 1991 dance hit "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)"—and makes it fresh with Brewer's self-deprecating lean and a guest appearance from Bibi Bourelly, one of today's most intriguing emerging voices. The result is a familiar but fresh new dance jam.

"I had a lot of fun making this track, mainly because I got to make fun of myself and show that I don't take myself too seriously," Brewer told The FADER, via email. "I'm not the smoothest of operators when it comes to the ladies, and that's kinda what this song is about. I'm trying to win this girl over and not having too much success!"

Nick Brewer's forthcoming debut album is coming soon via Island Records UK. Till then, pre-order "Talk To Me" on iTunes here.
