Los Angeles-based singer Ofelia K fancies her latest single, "As A Bell," to be a bit like a journey—sonically and emotionally. "I love all the deliberate intricacies of the production and blending of musical styles in this song," she told The FADER, describing the song's delicate guitar plucks, gently building drum pattern, and muffled hand claps.
"Most of the lyrics," she added, "felt like advice, a reminder to focus on what’s real and not what the mind makes up." Like when she repeats in a register just above a whisper there's not a reason why at the song's outro. "It’s an unpredictable journey—by the time it’s over I’m someplace new."
