Kanye West might have earned the year's best mic drop last weekend at the Pan Am Games in Toronto when he powered through a medley of his hits in a mere 13 minutes before abruptly ending, but, as it turns out, it was completely planned. According to a statement issued by Pan Am Games, 'Ye was always scheduled to perform for that short duration. "As this was a live broadcast, Kanye West was always scheduled to perform for 13 minutes," Neala Barton, SVP Communications and Media Relations for Pan Am Games explained to Complex. "He fulfilled this commitment in great style and while there was technical difficulty at the end due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, he rolled with it the way great artists do. To imply that he abruptly cut short his performance or that he was anything less than professional is incorrect. We could not have been more thrilled."
