Lindsey Drops A Summer Banger That Will “Jack” Your Body

A gummy, ‘80s-inspired jam to groove to in the August heat.

A solid bassline can go a long way. As a DJ and New York City party mainstay, Lindsey knows exactly what it takes to move bodies, and she delivers just that with "Jack," a brand-new single produced by both The Twilite Tone for D/P with additional production by Sammy Bananas. The thrumming lowend is irresistible, and the '80s influences are palpable but not overbearing. Lindsey's vocals float perfectly above the track, so when she instructs you to enjoy the night, you'll do just that.

"When I started this it was a part of a larger project with The Twilite Tone and we both love '80s r&b and dance music. Particularly where both of those things intersect. We would sit and listen to Dynasty, Loose Ends, Lil Louis, Mr. Fingers, Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk and Steve 'Silk' Hurley. It was really fun and it helped us find a little spot where we wanted our stuff to be, not too old, not too modern," Lindsey told The FADER over email. "Tone got busy with producing with Kanye and crew, so we took a break and would get to it when we could. Finally Sammy saved the day and he and I finished up 'Jack' to start with and there's possibly one other from this project to come!"
