Who Are Jack & Jack, The Teenage Vine Stars At The Top Of Hip-Hop Charts?

The teen duo’s EP Calibraska is currently outperforming both Meek Mill and Drake.

Perhaps evidence of the continued influence of online platforms like Vine and Youtube in established media, two teenage Vine stars are more popular than both Meek Mill and Drake--sort of.

Vine personalities turned rappers Jack & Jack had the third highest performing rap album last week with their four-song debut EP, Calibraska, which sold 22,000 copies as of July 30th.

The duo, comprised of Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson, currently boast 5.8 million followers on Vine, making it no surprise these teens from Omaha, Nebraska have found their way into the music business. What is surprising, however, is their success on the rap charts. Maybe the rap world was just preoccupied with something last week. Whatever the case, viral sensations are sure to become a lot more commonplace in the music world as Youtube views and online streams continue to influence the charts.
