London artist Bo Rocha showed on her debut Soundcloud gem "Tangerine Flake" that she's a master of subtlety, building verses of slow, steamy tension, abstract lyricism, and sparse percussion into big, knock-you-out choruses. For "Live Fast Or Die," the lead single from an upcoming debut EP, she makes those brushstrokes even more decisively, creeping gradually towards a synth-pop storm of motivation. "'Live Fast Or Die' was written as a kind of pep talk to myself," Bo Rocha told The FADER over email. "It was written after reaching a point of feeling trapped between a unwillingness to embrace risk and a fear of stagnation. So it could be taken as an anthem for those who never quite push themselves over the edge." What are you waiting for?

Bait & Switch will release the Even Green EP on November 13; if you're in London, catch Bo's debut show at Servant's Jazz Quarters on October 21.
