For the uninitiated, here are two reasons to give South London rapper Adian Coker's "Show Up" a chance. First off, the braggadocios song—to wit: I'll be the next Obama, I'm just biding my time—features a prominent sample of Clipse's icy 2006 hit "Wamp Wamp" that is undeniable. And then there's this new video, which features more lasers and pyrotechnics than a Kanye West concert; see for yourself above.

"I've always been a believer that the music tells you exactly what the video should look like," said Coker in an email to The FADER. "The song is kind of larger than life, bombastic, and the video definitely had to replicate and elevate that. I wanted to create something that looked as futuristic as the song sounds, but was also fun and allowed room for a 'real' performance." Mission accomplished.
