U.K. hip-hop and grime lead the charge in this year’s nominations, with Krept & Konan and JME gaining four nods each.

September 30, 2015

This year's nominations for the U.K.'s MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) Awards were announced this morning. 2015's list is dominated by names from grime and U.K. hip-hop, with Krept & Konan and JME leading the way with four nominations each, including a Best Album nod for both. FKA Twigs is up for three awards—two in the Best Video category alone, for her self-directed visuals "Glass & Patron" and "Pendulum"—tying with neo-soul singer Lianne La Havas. Meanwhile, Skepta is up for Best Male, and Wiley is set to be honored with a new Paving The Way award for trailblazers whose careers have shaped their scene, which will include a paving stone being laid at his old school in Bow, east London, to immortalize his legacy.

This year's awards ceremony will take place at Leeds' First Direct Arena for the first time in its history on November 4 (tickets here), and will be broadcast on ITV2, so you won't have to miss out on live performances from Twigs and Krept & Konan. See below for the full list of nominees, and head over to the MOBO website from 9am tomorrow (Thursday October 1) to vote for your faves.
