In a recent interview with Paper, the English beatmaker Faze Miyake noted, "I like listening to hip-hop more than grime for some reason. I like grime beats but I don't really like grime lyrics. It doesn't do anything for me."
That explains his interest in finding fierce MCs to pair with his tracks: after connecting with Little Simz on "The Nest," the English producer known as Faze Miyake teamed up with Chicago's Sasha Go Hard for "Below Me." The MC raps with poise and vigor; the muscular, spurting beat matches her energy. Miyake is dropping a new album tomorrow. Watch Sasha's FADER interview.
