Let October’s Child Remind You That It’s Okay To Hit “Refresh”

“If people give you shit for being a weirdo or look at you like you’re from another planet, this is your song.”

October's Child is the pretty project of L.A. singer-songwriter Britt Warner and producer Jordan Waré (who—fun fact—co-produced the Justin Bieber track that went on to become “Where Are Ü Now”). On October 21, they will release their "existentially-themed" debut EP Harvest, and today they share a gentle and wistful track called "Refresh." Warner told The FADER that it is "a song for outsiders and daydreamers, where you have this whole internal world that no one else ever sees or fully understands," but the core message—hit the refresh, look and then they're gone—is one that all of us have or will need to call on at some point.

"If people give you shit for being a weirdo or look at you like you're from another planet, this is your song," Warner added. "It's a longing to be taken to another world where you actually do belong."
