Branchez Plays With A World Of Sounds For “Cuenta”

Money-counter ad-lib and all.

October 26, 2015

Branchez may still be most well known for his beloved bootlegs and remixes—he's put his spin on Rihanna's "Stay" and What So Not's "High You Are" in the past, as well as official remixes for Wet, Rockie Fresh, and Tokimonsta—but "Cuenta" is a good reminder that the N.Y. producer's original sound bangs, too. The track showcases a wide swath of sounds, bouncing frantically between a sample of Future's brrrrrrrr money-counter ad-lib and a series of kawaii squeaks. As a result, it gives off kind of cute, sort of tough, and totally banging vibes.

"This one started on my friend's couch, now I'm excited to bang it in big rooms," Branchez told The FADER, before adding: "More music coming soon, for real for real." Listen to "Cuenta" below and keep a look out for more from the up-and-coming producer on his Soundcloud.
