Rothman's "Oz Vs. Eden" video will get you in the mood for Halloween. The track screams and creaks; the camera makes quick horror movie cuts. Characters in the clip largely fall into one of two categories: children that appear possessed by demons or some variation on a writhing ghost. Charli XCX provided additional vocals on the track, and Floria Sigismondi directed the video.
Earlier this year, Rothman shared a track titled "California Paranoia" with Angel Olsen, which you can hear below. He has a new album due out in 2016.
Update, 10/29/2015, 11:50 a.m.: Charli XCX took to Twitter to explain that she was not involved with the song.
"I am not/was never featured on this," she wrote. "I sang some 'na's' in the studio for producer @JustinLRaisen. That's all. This beautiful song is all down to the vision of @LAWRENCEROTHMAN." See her Tweets below.
Update, 10/29/2015, 2:20 p.m.: Regardless, Charli thinks "the song is wonderful."
Charli deleted her previous tweets, but reiterated that "the song is wonderful. And the video too."
