Sabina Ddumba Once Sang Back-Up For Katy Perry, Now She’s Entering The Spotlight

The Swedish singer’s “Not Too Young” is her own brand of stadium-sized pop.

After cutting her teeth on backing vocals for Katy Perry, singer Sabina Ddumba delivered her own pop smash in her home of Sweden earlier this year with platinum single "Effortless." Now following it up with the slow-burning stomper "Not Too Young," Ddumba is veering into the same teenage dream-embracing territory as Perry herself—and sounding just as anthemic. "'Not Too Young' is a song about how one is never too young to experience love," Ddumba told The FADER over email. "The song itself means a lot to me, since I grew up in a big family with seven siblings, including several older brothers who were always very protective of me. Once I was old enough to start dating they always reminded me that I was too young to know what real love was, so in a way I dedicate this song to them."

"Not Too Young" is available now via Warner Sweden.
