Adele's album sales have been the subject of constant scrutiny. Before the full-length came out, Billboard speculated that it might surpass the first week sales record held by NSYNC. After the record sold more than 900,000 copies at the iTunes store the day of release, Billboard revised its projections, suggesting that Adele would almost certainly top NSYNC's mark.

Yesterday, Billboard reported that the singer sold roughly 2.3 million copies in just three days. At that rate, setting a new first week sales record is almost a foregone conclusion; she's now projected to hit 2.9 million by the end of the week. Already 25 has sold more copies than any other album in 2015. It may also be the fastest-selling album in the history of the U.K.

Over the weekend, SNL aired a hilarious skit about Adele as the universal uniting force; watch that below.
