FFX Premiere Cheeky Love Song “Catch Up”

“We’re not ashamed of our thoughts.”

Berlin-via-Ljubljana recording and production duo and lovebirds FFX—who are also known as Gaja & Lucijan and/or GPNGPN x Loutseau—have shared a new cut off their forthcoming EP Promnite, which is set to be released on December 12. Titled "Catch Up," the song is creaky and cheeky—I despise you, I really do/ Do I need to hate you, do I need to call it hate?, whispers Gaja on the refrain. The track was inspired by the twosome's IRL relationship.

"We try to capture what we come upon in our love, be honest in what we write and produce," they explained in an email to The FADER. "Not filtering feelings we have for people and shit that is happening to us makes our music both serious and a joke. We're not ashamed of our thoughts, love to express them and want to be heard. Love to be good and bad, as much as we can." Amen.
