The DMV's Jay IDK uses his commute as a chance to reflect on the struggles of a young MC. He's selling drugs to fund his musical endeavors, but he's still broke: Spending every dollar at the club door entrances, Jay raps. I don't even leave with no bitches when I'm exiting/ Hopefully I leave with some digits from the networking/ Fuck a manager! The last one quit via text message. In the video, other subway riders respond to his cathartic energy, and by the end of the clip, everyone is jumping up and down.

"This song is what happens when the music industry, life struggles and the drug game collide simultaneously," the MC told The FADER. Watch above.

"Metro" appeared earlier this year on Jay's SubTRAP project.
