Sky Ferreira Explains Masochism Delay With Instagram Post
“I refuse to put out something that isn’t honest”

Last year Sky Ferreira seemed poised to release new music from her second album Masochism. There were the visuals and a couple song snippets posted to Instagram, with the promise of a summer 2015 release of new material. Nothing ended up being released, but last week the FADER cover star gave her fans another Instagram update, which Pitchfork spotted.

She indicated in her caption that she intends to take her time:
“I refuse to put out something that isn’t honest. It’s not something that I can force out. If I was to do it any sooner I either would have been compromising myself & anyone listening. I would have had to put out music that wasn’t true or a message I would not want to put out into the universe.”
