World’s Fair And Two 9 Team Up For Two New Tracks
New York meets Atlanta on “Bout It” and “5 Mics.”
Looking for a lesson in the city's rich hip-hop scene, New York collective World's Fair cooped up with Atlanta rascals Two-9 for a weekend down south. During their brief time together, the two rap crews ate good and worked hard: "We bonded over local hood staples like American Deli and Zaxby's while jumping in and out the booth recreating the moods and convos of our duration there in audible form," World Fair's Nasty Nigel explained in an email to The FADER. The end result of those sessions are two new collaborative tracks that, according to Nigel, were inspired "by the work ethic behind the machine that is Atlanta" but betray a gritty N.Y. influence. They're good, check them out below.
