In the video for her new song "Time Away," Iran-born and California-raised artist Cult Days creates a personal space for us to get to know her a little better. With the camera's close-up focus on her face, she captivatingly sings the lyrics, Even lovers need a holiday, far away from the one that I love—which is borrowed from this old rock song—over a digital melody. The mood feels halfway between romantic and melancholic. Set against the sunset backdrop of the Baja California region of Mexico, the video was shot by her husband Kool A.D. "Time Away" is taken from her third album, Neon Rose, which was written over eight years and features production from Andros Rodriguez, Com Truise, XXXChange, KOOL A.D., and more. Neon Rose is out today on Bandcamp, and you stream it in full below.
