New York production duo Arkatech Beatz (formerly known as The Infinite Arkatechz) have made huge strides as a team, having written and composed for an all-star line-up of hip-hop's greatest: Nas, Raekwon, and Mobb Deep, to name a few. Having recently supplied the beat for Jadakiss' "Realest In The Game," the pair have released a turbulent instrumental mixtape titled Theatre of War, a politically charged narrative of modern day warfare.
Despite the absence of lyrics, Arkatech Beatz lays out their tracks cinematically; each track is a vignette that focuses on specific spheres of war, both within and across national borders, indicated by spoken samples from news reports.
"We're from the age where albums had themes and skits," Arkatech Beatz told The FADER. "Nowadays albums just sound like songs slapped together. As producers we wanted to deliver a backdrop, a score to your everyday life. Theatre of War is a war-themed instrumental project filled with aggressive hip-hop beats specifically for the everyday person that's going through their own struggles, their own war."
