Jay Electronica Returns With “#TBE The Curse Of Mayweather”

The rapper shares his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent.

Jay Electronica's new song contains dialogue from the Apollo 11 mission, an interpolation of "Can I Kick It," a reference to Kurtis Blow's "The Breaks," and a chorus of screaming children—and that's just the first 90 seconds. Later the MC appears to go after Kendrick Lamar: a sneering, high-pitched voice notes, He's got 11 Grammy nominations, y'all not equal and Electronica replies, "fuck these white people."

"Ain't nobody safe no more," the rapper wrote on Twitter. "Either you with me or against me." He also added a warning for 50 Cent: "Don't lie to the people. you know me. don't make me expose you as a coward." Listen to "#TBE The Curse Of Mayweather" below.
