London R&B Singer Rachel Foxx Has A Searing Message For Her Ex On “Remember”

How dare you forget me?

February 29, 2016

22-year-old east Londoner Rachel Foxx makes low-key R&B you can blaze to, but the message of her latest single "Remember" is way less blissed-out than its production. While the beat shimmers with metallic melodies, the lyrics are more "You Oughta Know"—How dare you forget me?/ Now you think you'll move on?/ No, I have plans for you—playing on that obsessive mixture of knowing someone is trash and yet still kinda wanting them back.

"'Remember' is about reminiscing on the past with someone who has constantly screwed you over and done evil things," Rachel explained over email to The FADER. "It's about forgetting the bad and remembering the good. It's about being naive, and finding yourself wanting something back even if it was a volatile situation." Listen below.
