Rihanna’s “Work” Gets The Truly Great Remix It Deserves

Add some Gyptian and PARTYNEXTDOOR and this 17-year-old YouTuber has got the juice.

Rihanna's "Work" will likely carry us through the summer, but while DJs are still perfecting their blends, Canadian YouTuber Taahira Duff nailed the mash-up we want to hear. In the clip above, originally posted to Duff's Twitter page, the smiley high schooler cues up the plinking melody of Gyptian's "Hold Yuh" and launches into a short, sweet medley featuring that song, "Work," and "Wus Good," by fellow Mississaugan PARTYNEXTDOOR. It's a smart and very Toronto take on the West Indian sounds that inspire pop music.

Even if the full version of Party's reference track for "Work" doesn't drop, we'd be content with Duff's playful rendition. Check out the video below to hear the full remix, which also includes Duff's rework of Bryson Tiller's "Don't."
