Despot and El-P Have A New Jewish Deli in Brookyln
It’s called Frankel’s.
It has come to light that beloved rapper Despot is getting into the restaurant game. Alongside some other New York friends, Despot is helping open up a Jewish deli in Brooklyn.
The spot is called Frankel's. It's a homage to classic Brooklyn Jewish delis and it's the brainchild of Holy Ghost's Alex Frankel and his brother Zach, FirstWeFeast reports. Alongside Despot who's involved as a part owner, they've enlisted some heavy hitters. Grub Street reported they hired former Food Network kitchen chef Ashely Berman as executive chef. Run the Jewels El-P also revealed today he is a part-owner and judging from his fiery Twitter PR, he's involved in a big way.
Frankel's opens today in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighbourhood.
