On April 29, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard—a seven member rock set out of Melbourne—will deliver an ambitious project: Nonagon Infinity, an album that loops seamlessly, with the final note leading right back into the very first. And, word has it that Holy Mountain director Alejandro Jodorowsky has praised its "strength, imagination, sense of color and rhythm."
Today King Gizzard have shared a new track off Nonagon Infinity called "People-Vultures." Clocking in at exactly five-minutes, it's an anxious and angry riot of drum and guitar—the raucous conduit for their concern for Mother Earth's future: People vultures crowding at my door, parasites are eating even more, sings Stu Mackenzie, who plays guitar and is the lead vocalist.
"Our blue planet is parched and cracks are forming underfoot and the sweat drips from our collective temple onto the citrine sand and a feathered doom encircles us from above and there's a pulsing in our breast telling us there ain't nothing any mere mortal can do when the sun retreats and blackness sets in," explained in an email to The FADER. "Call upon God to deliver us from our peril."
