NXNE Announces Clubland Shows With Kamasi Washington, Cold Specks, And More

The first musical acts of NXNE 2016 have been announced. Kamasi Washington, Cold Specks, The Joy Formidable, Screaming Females and more will play at venues billed as NXNE Clubland. The Toronto festival takes place from June 13—19.

A clutch of showcases have also been announced. The Quebec Showcase will feature Bionic and USA Out of Vietnam, and Billions Canada will host Cold Specks and DIANA.

Each of the announced events will be single ticket shows, keeping the festival's controversial shift away from all-inclusive wristbands and towards live video game tournaments. You can purchase tickets online on Friday April 8 at 10AM EST.
