In an excerpt from an upcoming Marie Claire cover story, Kylie Jenner confusingly stated that she alone is the person who got everyone on the wig wave.
"I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs," said the 18-year-old who is often captured in pictures wearing bright colored weaves. "Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night...I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow."
It's a peculiar statement, given that innumerable famous women throughout history—such as Marie Antoinette, The Supremes, Lil Kim (who Jenner called "so cool" on her Instagram recently), to name only a few—have worn wig, beginning well before Kylie was even a thought. As the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, she undoubtedly has a wide impact. However, she is not the first, nor will she be the last, to wear a wig. Sorry, Kylie.
