Sturgill Simpson Brings “Brace For Impact” To Colbert

Simpson showcases his new single on network TV.

Stephen Colbert has been using the The Late Show to voice his support for country's traditionalist wing lately. In February, he brought Jason Isbell on to the show; last night, Sturgill Simpson made an appearance. (Those two artists used to share a producer, Dave Cobb, though Simpson self-produced his latest effort).

The Kentucky native performed "Brace For Impact (Live A Little)," the lead single from his A Sailor's Guide To Earth album, with the help of a horn section. He also assisted Colbert in making a new song in honor of Waffle House. Watch below.
