He's very candid about that fact on "Hi And Bye," his latest Daud Leon-produced single. On the track, Banks explores his singing abilities while still rapping with his assertive flow. His lyrics talk about the pressure he faces as a rising artist, and all the time he doesn't have to waste on people who aren't helping him progress.
"Hi And Bye" isn't just a song, though—it's a how he really feels. "Everything in this song was put in there with intent to serve as a prelude to the very short conversations I am about to have with people," Rocky explained to The FADER over an email. "I know some will get offended, and I know some will be surprised." It's better to rip the Band-Aid off quick, right?
