Today marks the arrival of Adia Victoria's debut album Beyond The Bloodhounds—a compilation of gothic, sharp witted, and fiery folk that is excellent.
Victoria has also shared a video for the LP's lead single, "Dead Eyes," that is as piercing and evocative as the track itself. It finds Victoria in a wrinkled white gown running through the woods, caught in a foot chase with some men and dogs hot on her heels.
"I wanted a the video to serve as a visual companion to the existential crisis the song's narrator has found herself in," she explained in an email to The FADER. "Here we see her in flight, fighting for her life against every odd dog hunting her down."
Beyond The Bloodhounds is out now; cop it here.
