Brooklyn’s Barclays Center was lit last night.

It's safe to say that, last night, no place was more full of energy and overflowing with nostalgia than Barclays Center in Downtown Brooklyn. The occasion? The sold-out kickoff show for Bad Boy Entertainment's 25-date reunion tour celebrating the label's massive impact on hip-hop, rap, and R&B.

Opening night saw electric performances (and unforgettable outfits) from rap and R&B legends Lil Kim, Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, The Lox, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, and the Bad Boy girl group, Total, as well as a new generation of rappers, including Bad Boy signee French Montana and L.A.'s own Ty Dolla $ign, who joined Diddy onstage for the Puff Daddy & The Family track, "You Could Be My Lover."

And, of course, there was an outsized tribute to Bad Boy's most famous act, and patron saint of Brooklyn, Notorious B.I.G., who would have celebrated his 44th birthday today. (Accordingly, Brooklyn borough president, Eric Adams, officially proclaimed May 21 as "Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace" Day this week.) For the performance of their 1997 hit tribute song to the late rapper, "I'll Be Missing You," Evans and Diddy were joined onstage by a gospel choir, leading to what we can't imagine was a single dry eye in the place. Check out some clips from the concert below.
