Club manager Sean Kane told the website that the building's owner decided not to renew the venue's ten year lease. DNAinfo also reported that the venue's event coordinator Jackalyn Tipchaieuh has informed booked artists in an email that the venue will be shuttering after May 29: “If you have an event after the previously mentioned date, please consider it cancelled.” As of writing this, Santos Party House's website has listed events for as late as June 30.

It is unclear, as DNAinfo suggests, whether or not the closure of Santos Party House is related to their hosting of the final night of Oi Fest, a punk festival protested for allegedly having Nazi connections.
