Kat Dahlia returned last month with a three song EP, 20s, 50s, 100s, the R&B singer's first release since her 2015 full length My Garden. Her new song "Run It Up," explores how being lovestruck can lead someone to blow all their cash, a situation she approaches with simultaneous shade and empathy. For the video, Kat nudged her lyrics into glamorous and intimate visuals. "I wanted to shoot something natural that gave the 'morning after' vibes," she told The FADER over email, "but also eluded to a story of a certain character." Next time you comb over your bank balance, you just might have the smoked-out, playful melodies of "Run It Up" dancing through your head as a sort of warning. Check it out above.
