On Tuesday Clint Massey a.k.a. Chicago rapper RondoNumbaNine received a 39 year sentence for the 2014 murder of livery driver Javan Boyd, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. The 19 year old Massey was convicted of first degree murder in May, along with his accomplice Courtney Ealy, who was previously sentenced to 38 years.

On February 24 2014, Massey and Ealy drove with a group to the city's Wentworth Gardens apartment complex to retaliate for an earlier shooting. The pair saw the 29 year old Boyd sitting in a parked car; they approached him on foot and shot several times before leaving the scene. Boyd had been waiting for a customer. He was later pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital. Massey was implicated in the crime by fingerprints left on Boyd's car and video surveillance footage.
