The wild strength of Bricc Baby's "Remix'n A Bricc" comes from the hook — Starrah's richly auto-tuned boast of "Remixing a brick" is inventive and playful enough that the hip-hop superstars Fetty Wap and Young Thug incorporate its words and energy into their verses. As for Bricc Baby, his marble-tonsilled flow dominates with each syllable: I'm a monster with the shit/ I'm a lobster, you a shrimp/ Gang of choppers in this bitch/ We get it poppin' in the 6, the L.A. rapper growls.
"I was in the studio with Starrah and she came up with the hook," Bricc Baby told The FADER over email, "and from there I went in! After I did my first verse I was like I need to get Fetty on this. He came through and killed his part. I was gonna do a second verse but then I hit Thug and he came through and gassed. The rest was history!"
