Melania Trump took the stage tonight at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland to deliver the event's opening address, stepping into the spotlight for a rare moment to speak to her husband's character. The former fashion model spoke about Donald Trump's leadership abilities and vision for America.
As Jarrett Hill points out on Twitter, a portion of Melania Trump's speech bared a strong resemblance to part of Michelle Obama's opening speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Ahead of the speech, Mrs. Trump told NBC's Matt Laeur, "I wrote it...with as little help as possible." Watch clips from both of the speeches below.
